National reports of anonymous threatening text messages
Thursday, November 7, 2024
The university is aware of reports of individuals, including college students, receiving text messages that contain false threats and racist insults at universities across the nation. These messages are believed to be associated with online spoofing sites. Based on the information available, there is no credible threat.
If you have received one of these messages, the Oklahoma State University Police Department will assist you with filing a police report. The university and the OSUPD take all reports of threats seriously. Individuals can call the OSUPD at 405-744-6523 or chat with dispatchers via the Rave Guardian App.
Oklahoma State University will continue to uphold the law and foster a campus where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Incidents that violate the law or our student code of conduct will not be tolerated.
If you need support, remember OSU has resources available on the Student Support website.
