Update:
8:25 a.m. - Lake Carl Blackwell is now open for those who were evacuated to return and recover property. Use caution as you enter the area, as there are still hotspots around the lake, and follow public safety officials' instructions.
Update:
8:00 a.m. - Lake Carl Blackwell remains closed this morning as OSU PD searches the area. Those who were evacuated from Lake Carl Blackwell are not permitted in the area until notified by public safety officials.
The Payne County Expo Center remains open to the public.

12:55 a.m. - As an overnight shelter with additional resources has been established,
the Colvin Annex is closing. We are providing transportation to the Payne County Expo
Center for those currently in refuge at the Annex.

10:20 pm - Lake Carl Blackwell has been upgraded to a mandatory evacuation area and
will be closed until further notice. The mandatory evacuation will not be lifted until
it's safe for individuals to return. OSUPD will maintain a presence at the lake.

9 pm - We are continuing to monitor the ongoing weather situation. The campus continues to be safe at this time. Please keep our community, those impacted and our first responders in your thoughts and prayers. Safe spaces remain open to the public at the following locations:

The campus continues to be safe. If you have a maintenance emergency on campus, call the OSUPD non-emergency line at 405-744-6523. The after-hours work control line (7154) is not working.

6:29 p.m. - Please avoid the Lake Carl Blackwell area. There is a significant fire in the area. The OSU campus remains safe at this time. Stay up to date with City of Stillwater Emergency Management.

6:05 p.m. - OSU-STW: Campus remains safe and unaffected by fire. We are continuing to monitor the situation. If you're not on campus, watch City of Stillwater Emergency Management for further updates.

4:49 p.m. - At this time, the OSU campus is safe and not currently impacted by any fires. Please use caution and best judgment when going outside. Avoid travel, if possible, to allow emergency responders ease of travel. If evacuations are required, additional messaging will be issued with further instructions.

3:54 p.m. - For individuals displaced by ongoing weather events, the Colvin Center Annex will be open as a weather refuge location.

3:26 p.m. - OSU-STW Weather Alert: As you travel this afternoon, please be mindful of emergency vehicles and current evacuations. Please avoid or use caution if traveling west toward I-35. DO NOT drive into smoke. Watch for downed power lines and debris-covered roadways. Conditions can change quickly; continue to check for updates.

Extreme wind is causing hazardous conditions. Stay inside unless told by public safety to do otherwise.
If you must go out, exercise caution and watch for flying debris. Fires have been reported in Payne County; many are reporting power outages. Avoid the areas of 19th and 6th avenues, and Range and Cottonwood roads. Some areas are being evacuated.
Wind gusts can also affect power lines. Watch for downed power lines; DO NOT APPROACH.
Normal OSU transit routes will be disrupted.
The OSU Emergency Operations Center has been activated and is monitoring the situation. Call 911 if you have an emergency. Otherwise, you can contact the OSU Police Department at 405-744-6523 or use the Rave Guardian app to chat with dispatchers.
