Tuesday, September 24, 2024
At approximately 4:39 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, an individual reported an incident of groping through the email address 1is2many@okstate.edu, where victims of sexual misconduct, friends or witnesses can report their concerns.
The individual wrote that between 7:50 and 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, a female student was groped near Villages E and F. The alleged suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6-feet tall with brown hair and eyes.
The 1 is 2 Many coordinator reached out to the person who emailed to request additional information and to offer support to the victim.
The OSU Police Department has reviewed its call logs. Nothing was reported during that time frame. If you know anything about this alleged crime, or have been the victim of a crime, call 405-744-6523.
The OSUPD is increasing patrols in that area and encourages all students to download the RAVE Guardian app. Use the app to report suspicious activity. You chat directly with OSU’s 911 dispatchers. You can also request a member of the OSUPD walk with you to your next on-campus or Greek housing destination using the “Safe Walk” feature of the app.
Take extra precautions. Be aware of your surroundings and walk in groups when possible. See tips at safety.okstate.edu. As always, if you see something, say something.
