Evacuation Shelters

The following locations have been identified a shelters for evacuation:

Cowboy Strong Fund

Cowboy Strong funds are available for students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship. Applying allows for staff to reach out and engage and support your individual needs.

 

Food Resources

  2. Students and employees in need of immediate food resources, please complete the OSU Support Form to identify yourself. Staff will reach out to schedule a time for you to visit Pete’s Pantry, a free food pantry for OSU students and employees.
  3. Additionally, during Spring Break, the Pete's Pantry is scheduled to be open on Wednesday, March 19 from 10am to 1pm.
  4. Saturday, March 15, 6pm: Stillwater Elks Lodge, 202 East McElroy Road – Free Spaghetti Dinner for all first responders and community members affected by the fires.

 

Clothing Closet

The Clothing Closet is dedicated to serving all OSU students and employee. Gently used clothing for all occasions (casual to professional) is available at no cost in 411 Scott Hall, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  1. Students and employees in need of immediate clothing resources, should complete the OSU Support Form to identify their needs. Staff will reach out and can arrange for you to access the clothing closet outside the times it is open.

StillwaterStrong Resources

For those displaced by the fires- email: Stillwaterstrongrelief@gmail.com with any immediate needs for food, shelter, clothing, animals, daily necessities.
 
For those wanting to donate to first responders and immediate community needs:
The City has established a drop off at the Stillwater Armory located at 315 E 9th Street for Saturday, March 15 from 1-6pm.


The drop off location will accept bottled water, Gatorade, liquid iv, packaged food and snacks, and pet food. Community members impacted by the fires can pickup donations from 10am-2pm on Sunday, March 16.

In the event of a flood, tornado, or other natural disaster, the Device Reutilization Program is here to help with your Assistive Technology (AT) and Durable Medical Equipment needs. Read our AT/DME Emergency Plan (PDF) to find out what we can help with in the event your AT or DME is lost or damaged in a natural disaster.

 

Application for Emergency Durable Medical Equipment – wheelchair, walker, shower, chair, blood pressure monitor, etc.

 

Apply for technology (AT) for a temporary accommodation: Go to the Device Loan Program webpage and follow the directions.
