Lost and Found

The Oklahoma State University Police Department maintains the lost and found area for the Stillwater campus. All found items should be turned in to OSUPD, 224 N. Orchard (southwest corner of Farm Road and Orchard Avenue) in the USDA Building.

Found items are held for at least six months, with the exception of bicycles. Bicycles are held for a minimum of nine months and are handled by OSU Parking Services. Pick up personal belongings from the OSU Police Department between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays except during university holidays. To claim an item, the following is required:

  • One valid form of identification, such as:
  • Driver’s License
  • Student ID
  • Employee ID
  • Passport
  • Other photo ID
  • Proof of ownership
  • Receipt of purchase and/or
  • Detailed description of the item

After the OSUPD has exhausted its attempts to locate the owner and has had the items for more than six months, items can be auctioned. Auctions typically occur in August. Clothing and similar items are donated to a nonprofit.

Questions regarding lost and found items should be directed to lostfound@okstate.edu or call 405-744-2844.
