Police seek information in destruction of Theta Pond sculpture

The Oklahoma State University Police Department and university officials are asking for information regarding the destruction of a beloved wooden sculpture of a young boy fishing at Theta Pond.

Bicycle thefts, auto burglaries on the rise

The Oklahoma State University Police Department wants the campus community to be aware of continuing bicycle thefts and auto burglaries. Twenty bicycles have been stolen and 10 vehicles have been burglarized since Oct. 1.

OSUPD warns of ‘spoofing’ requests for nude photos, money

October 20, 2020

Fraudulent callers are making their call appear as if it is originating from the police department’s non-emergency line, and they are claiming to be current OSUPD law enforcement officers. Callers are requesting money or nude photos.

About the department

The Oklahoma State University Police Department protects the OSU-Stillwater campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with more than 30 sworn officers, 12 support staff and more than 10 student employees covering the Stillwater campus plus Lake Carl Blackwell and agricultural research areas.
The department includes the OSU-Tulsa division with another eight full-time officers providing round-the-clock coverage for that campus.

Oklahoma State is committed to keeping the Cowboy family safe. In 2014, the university launched the SafeWalk program, employing and training students as public service officers to escort anyone from one campus location to another from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. 

Lost and Found

The Oklahoma State University Police Department maintains the lost and found area for the Stillwater campus. All found items should be turned in to OSUPD, 224 N. Orchard (southwest corner of Farm Road and Orchard Avenue) in the USDA Building.

Personal Asset Inventory

Oklahoma State University has implemented a personal asset inventory service for all campuses. The system provides a place for students, faculty and staff to record the make, model, serial number and a photograph (optional) of valuables.
