The OSU Police Department public service officers are part-time student employees
who provide SafeWalks, give general information to the public and respond to low-level
calls such as unlocking a car or office door or jumping a battery.
While not certified police officers, public service officers receive introductory
law enforcement training. Public service officers work closely with the patrol division
and are indispensable in helping the OSU Police Department with campus safety and
security.
Being a public service officer is a great way for students considering a career in
law enforcement to get involved. Interested? Email osupd@okstate.edu or call 405-744-6523.
