The OSU Police Records Unit is located in the front of the department, where it also serves as reception, providing the first point of contact for customer assistance. Lobby hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays, closed weekends, university holidays and university closings. Need to request a record outside of regular operating hours? Contact the communications center via an intercom system located near the entry door of the OSUPD.
The Records Unit is responsible for the input, maintenance, retrieval, archive, statistical reports and security of OSU Police law enforcement records. The Records Unit can provide assistance with obtaining copies of reports, traffic accidents, criminal history checks, impound releases, deferred citations and firearms check in/out. The Records Unit also compiles and completes monthly statistical reports for the OSBI and FBI along with coordinating distribution of police reports to other law enforcement agencies and the court system.
Lost and Found
In addition, the OSU Police Records Unit serves as one of the university’s lost and found locations. Make inquiries in person or call 405-744-2844 or 405-744-2845 during lobby hours. Lost and found items are kept for at least six months before disposal in accordance with state laws.
